Chulu Far East Peak lies at the elevation of 6059M and is considered one of the important part of Manang region. This great peak has been compared in character to Island Peak in the Everest region,offering interesting climbs without being too technical. From a high camp at 5,335meters, we make our ascent via straight forward snow-slopes to a sensational pinnacle summit which commands fantastic and far-reaching views of the Annapurna range including Annapurna II, III, Gangapurna and Pisang Peak among the others. Also,we have refined the program incorporating with a trek to Naar & Phu villages which is one of the off-beaten routes before the climb so that it gives an interesting approach to trek and better acclimatization ahead of our climb on Chulu Far East.

     Trek from Koto to Meta (3,560m).


    Rest and Acclimatization Day in Meta.


    Trek from Meta to Chyako (3,720m). 


    Trek from Chyako to Phu Village (4,200m).


    Trek from Phu to Naar Phedi (3,490m).


     Trek from Phedi to Naar Village (4,110m). 


     Trek from Naar to Ngawal (3,660m) crossing the Kang La pass (5,306m).


     Rest Day in Ngawal.


     Trek from Ngawal to Yak Kharka (4,000m).


     Trek from Yak Kharka to Chulu Far East Basecamp (4,835m).


    Trek from Base camp to High Camp (5,334m).


    Climb Chulu Far East peak (6,059m) & return to Basecamp (4,835m).


    Trek from Base Camp to Manang (3,520m).


    Trek down to Lower Pisang (3,200m).
     

    Trek down to Koto (2,600m).


    Trek down to Taal (1,664m).

     Drive back to Kathmandu (8/10 Hrs Drive).

  Before The Trekking 

ESSENTIAL INFORMATIONS: 

PASSPORT AND VISA INFORMATION 

Your passport needs to be valid for at least six (6) months after your journey ends, and should have a minimum of one (1) blank visa page for entry and exit stamps. 

 

CASH & CREDIT CARDS 

We recommend travelling with some cash, and at least two different major credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard, so you have backup if your card is not accepted or lost. Access to ATM machines is available in Kathmandu but limited to none in rural areas. Contact your bank and credit card companies to let them know where and when you’ll be travelling, as well as confirm any foreign transaction fees. 

When carrying cash, try to travel only with recently issued currency in smaller denominations; wrinkled or torn bills are not accepted. Only exchange currency at authorized outlets such as currency exchanges, ATMs or hotels and save receipts as they may be required for exit.  

 

PHYSICAL CONDITION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Every mountain is another mountain regardless of its height. Climbers must be physically and mentally fit with a good deal of mountaineering experience and skills for your own safety and welfare of the team. Kaitu Expedition requires our clients to have basic knowledge of mountaineering skills and experience of expedition life. The clients should be confident and comfortable to adopt Himalayan mountaineering practices such as using fixed lines to ascend, descend and crevasse crossing using ladders. 

 

BOOKING  

Booking confirmation must be done 45 days before departure date from Kathmandu. A non-refundable 50% advance payment must be made after signing the Service Agreement between the two parties 30 days before the departure date. Clients must provide a Medical Report signed by a physician stating otherwise healthy and fit.  

 

FOOD  

Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. We will take meals (breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) in lodges and teahouses along the trail. And for the Chulu Base Camp set up, we will be sending Kitchen staffs, tents and equipment from Kathmandu. We are able to accommodate most dietary requirements but do please inform us in advance.
