Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Every mountain is another mountain regardless of its height. Although Everest is not as technical but requires a good deal of mountaineering experience and skills for your own safety and of the team. Kaitu Expedition require our clients to have participated in Himalayan expedition above 6000 meters with knowledge of basic mountaineering skills and experience of expedition life. The clients should be confident and comfortable to adopt Himalayan mountaineering practices such as using fixed ropes to ascend, descend and crevasse crossing using ladders.
** We highly recommend our clients to sign up for Mt. Manaslu Expedition 8163 meter with us to prepare and train for Everest. This is a great opportunity to build self-confidence by testing yourself at 8000 meter, familiarize with fixed rope climbing, ladder crossing and above all get to know the team for your ultimate dream – Everest.
BOOKING
Booking must be done 60 days before departure date of expedition from Kathmandu. A non-refundable 50% Deposit must be made 45 days prior to expedition departure date after signing the Service Agreement between the two parties. Client must provide evidence of prior mountaineering experience and Medical Report signed by a physician stating otherwise healthy and fit.

Kaitu Expedition campsite is well organized and managed with basic needs to make one feel at home. We take pride keeping our standards high by paying attention to the finest details from kitchen to toilet tent, sleeping to shower tent and store to dinning tent. Power is provided with solar invertors and generator for back up. Hot shower on a warm day is a luxury at BC. Spacious dinning tent with heater in the evening and of course plenty of good food for good mood.
We make sure our clients feel at home away from home at 5300 meters for a memorable experience.
ACCOMODATION
Best available lodges on twin sharing basis during the trek.
At Basecamp life is made as comfortable as possible for your pleasant stay. Hence, we provide a large spacious 10X7ft tent at basecamp. And 2 Men Kailas X3 Alpine tent for high camps.
FOOD
All meals on the trek will be provided by the lodge. At base camp we have a fully equipped kitchen with well-trained kitchen staff to prepare delicious meals by maintaining strict hygiene practices. Our chef will prepare three meals a day with a variety of choices from continental/Japanese/Chinese and Nepali/Tibetan cuisine. We mostly use fresh meat, vegetables and fruits on our expeditions.
Unlimited supply of snacks and hot drinks 24 hours in the dining tent is available. During the climb we mostly use dry or dehydrated foods except in Camp 2 where proper kitchen will be setup to provide hot meals.
